Futures Trading Risk Disclosure
Effective September 1, 2026
Trading futures and options on futures carries substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You may lose more than your initial investment. Only risk capital should be used.
Risk of loss
Futures trading is leveraged. A relatively small market movement will have a proportionately larger impact on the funds you have deposited, which can work against you as easily as for you. You can lose your entire deposit, and in some circumstances more than your deposit. Do not fund a trading account with money you cannot afford to lose entirely, including money needed for living expenses, debt, or emergencies.
No advice is given
GC Trading is an educational service. Gavin Davis is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor, or commodity pool operator, and is not registered with the SEC, FINRA, the CFTC, or the NFA. Nothing taught, shown, discussed, or posted, on this site, in the course, in live sessions, or in the community, is personalized investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. You are solely responsible for your own trading decisions.
No performance guarantee
No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those discussed. Past performance is not indicative of future results. The majority of people who attempt day trading do not achieve consistent profitability, and many lose money.
Hypothetical and illustrative results
Any trades, setups, or figures shown for teaching purposes are illustrative of the method being taught. Hypothetical or simulated results have inherent limitations: they are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, they do not involve financial risk, and no simulated record can completely account for the impact of real financial risk in actual trading, including the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a plan under pressure.
Prop firm evaluations
Proprietary trading firm evaluations carry their own fees, rules, and drawdown limits set by the firm, not by GC Trading. Passing an evaluation is not guaranteed, evaluation fees are generally not recoverable, and payout terms are determined solely by the firm you contract with. Read that firm's own terms carefully.
Your responsibility
Consider your financial position, experience, and risk tolerance before trading. If you are unsure whether futures trading is appropriate for you, seek advice from an independent, licensed financial professional.
